Exploring Apprenticeships? Workforce Planning, New Funding and ATAs

In addition to this we discussed the ATA model of apprenticeships delivery. An ATA is an intermediary organisation that manages the apprenticeship process for a business, and sometimes employs the apprentice for the duration of the apprenticeship too, providing businesses the option to offer employment at the end of the apprenticeship.

Clare Vertigen is Director of the South West Apprenticeship Company, an ATA that has been supporting apprenticeship opportunities with businesses and apprentices in the South West for many years. We asked Clare how their ATA model works for small businesses, why businesses use them, and what the benefits are of this approach. Clare also shared case studies of businesses that have successfully run apprenticeships in their business as a result of working with her organisation.
