A new scheme is offering grants of up to £1,500 to support Nottinghamshire based creative businesses looking to take on their first apprentice. The apprenticeship places can be within any type of creative business, including designer makers, artists, creative organisations, creative retailers, galleries and museums.
10 supported apprenticeships are available through the scheme which is funded by Nottinghamshire Country Council, and through a partnership with Futures, NCN and the
Nottingham Craft Academy.
Funding is only available to businesses based in the county of Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City) who are looking to hire an apprentice for the first time.
To find out more about the opportunity, please contact the Nottingham Craft Academy who run drop in surgeries on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Debbie Bryan,
in Nottingham’s Lace Market from 4-5 pm. Young people interested in a craft apprenticeship can also attend to meet potential employers, or if they know of a business they’d like to work with, they can tell them about the programme. Nottinghamshire County Council is funding an enhanced grant to support your employment and training with the Nottingham Craft Academy Creative Apprenticeship Programme.
